Troubleshooting AI document scanning

Zottio's AI reads PDF and image documents automatically, extracting vendor details, amounts, dates, and tax rates. Occasionally, a document's formatting can affect extraction accuracy.

If a document shows 0% confidence or missing fields after upload, check that the file isn't a scanned image with poor resolution — clearer scans extract more reliably. PDFs with selectable text (rather than photos of paper documents) work best.

You can manually correct any extracted field directly in the document view — your corrections don't just fix that document, they help us understand edge cases for that document type.

If a document consistently fails to extract, try re-uploading it, or contact support with the document type so we can investigate.
